Customized training and organizational development consulting services are also available.

Training & Organizational Development - Business Applications Classes at CSU

These workshops are offered during the calendar year, by the Office of Training and Organizational Development. The Office Training and Organizational Development is part of the Division of Administrative Services at Colorado State University. These classes are free of charge, and are open to all CSU academic faculty, administrative professional and CSU staff. Pre-registration is required.

Course description:

This will be a hands-on workshop covering basic definitions, important keys, and deposit creation using the CASHNet® system.

This class will also include:

  • An overview of the online CASHNet® system
  • Finding deposits
  • Modifying deposits
  • Deleting deposits

CSU Marketplace Super User Training

Course description:

The CSU Marketplace is Colorado State University’s new e-Procurement Solution that provides the CSU community with an easy to use self-service buying approach. The CSU Marketplace will be the official tool for processing all requisitions. Requisitioning through one tool streamlines the buying process and allows for electronic routing for approvals. The CSU Marketplace allows for detailed order history and better reporting to the administration, college, and department level.

This training will encompass the entire solution from managing profiles, online ordering, creating purchase requisitions and AFE, electronic workflow procedures, approvals and reporting features. The super users will gain advanced knowledge of the system to provide assistance and training to key personnel in their departments.

CSU Marketplace Shopper Training

Course description:

The CSU Marketplace is Colorado State University’s new e-Procurement Solution that provides the CSU community with an easy to use self-service buying approach.

This training will encompass the shopping solution for the casual user. It includes managing profiles, online ordering, and creating purchase requisitions and AFEs. This is different class than "Super User Training".

e-Print
Instructor: Ken Katona

Course description:

This is a hands-on workshop, covering the basics of e~Print:

  • How do I log in?
  • What reports will I see?
  • How do I get to old reports?
  • How do I find a specific page of the report?
  • What kind of information can I search for?

It will also include more detailed information about viewing PDF files in Adobe Acrobat. Learn how to navigate and save your reports.

Note: Participants must bring their FRS operator ID and password to class in order to login to e~Print.

IMOs for Suppliers
Instructor: Ken Katona and Linda Meserve

Course description:

This workshop will cover the IMO Supplier screens, document searches, over tolerance documents, and splitting revenue between accounts. You will have the opportunity to “fill” practice documents.

Introduction to AFEs and REQs
Instructors: Linda Meserve and Ken Katona
Contact Hours: 2
Frequency: 3-4 times per calendar year.

Course description:

Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) section

This workshop covers:

  • The AFE screens;
  • Approved exceptions to the $3000 limit;
  • Document searches & inquiries;
  • Copying documents; and
  • Canceling documents.

There will be hands-on exercises where you will create AFEs.

Purchase Requisition (REQ) section

This introductory workshop will give you an overview of CSU’s Purchasing policies and procedures. Topics include:

  • Planning your purchases;
  • Using the Procurement Card & Purchase Order to make purchases;
  • University/State contracts;
  • Sole source purchases;
  • The Intramural Order (IMO); and
  • The bidding process.

In a hands-on session you will create sample REQs in CIS. Join us in learning how to efficiently obtain the goods and services you need.

Introduction to CJEs, WOAs and IMOs
Instructor: Ken Katona

Course description:

This training session provides an introduction to:

  • Correcting Journal Entries (CJEs);
  • Intramural Orders (IMOs);
  • Work Order Authorizations (WOAs);
  • Approval processes for all document types.

This workshop will cover CJE use and screens, IMO screens, and WOA screens. You will create sample documents.

Travel System at CSU
Instructors: Connie McNaughton and Ken Katona

Course description:

This is a hands-on workshop. We will cover how to create:

  • Pre-Trip,
  • Post-Trip, and
  • Amendment travel documents in the new travel system.

We will also go over how to save, print, and route travel documents.
